Microdermabrasion is a procedure where a diamond tipped treatment head and fine alum crystals are used to abrade the surface of the skin. This abrasion gently removes dead skin and skin debris, whilst stimulating the skin's natural process of hydration and renewal.

The way in which microdermabrasion stimulates this production is through aspiration (sucking) to remove the crystals and skin debris from the surface of the skin.
